Mount Velo has 3 different downhill gems. South Monte Velo is a long and exciting trail that directly leads to Lake Garda starting from St. Barbara.
The narrow pattern of trees demands great agility, and split-second decisions are fundamental in the quick changes in gradient and direction. As we lose height the ground changes and becomes a typical Garda path: a mix of smaller rocks and stones. It is worth stopping where the trees get sparse: the views of Lake Garda are marvellous.
