TIPS:Helmet and protective gear are strongly suggested, highly technical descents
We leisurely reach Mount Velo through a paved road and stop for a panoramic view of the “Busa” (the “hole” containing Riva del Garda, Torbole and Arco). We really live in a fantastic place! And while ascending we are able to see the lake in its entirety, up to its southernmost tip: Sirmione… stunning!
As soon as the paved road ends we stop in order to restore some energy and get dressed with protective gear for the descent.
The first downhill sector starts on compact ground where fast straight stretches alternate with bendy parts.
The second part of the downhill sector is more tricky: the ground is more loose, with some rocky layers and rocky steps. Olive trees and vineyards tell us the descent is over. We reach Riva del Garda through secondary roads.
